Nexus One Pink Spot & Messed Up App Names

10 days now and so far I still love my N1. However, there are a few issues that I wished would be corrected.

Pink Spot Syndrome

Of course I’m getting that as well. As a photographer I can promise you that it’s a problem with the auto white balance or calibration because it seems to be predominately with images on white or light backgrounds.

Defunct App Names

This one bugs me even more. I haven’t restarted my phone yet because…well…it’s been on ever since I got it and hasn’t been restarted once. I shouldn’t have to restart my phone to make the problem go away. It’s not a freaking PC. It just happened out of no where to.

3G/EDGE Issue

This one everyone seems to be experiencing so hopefully a firmware fix will clear this up. If your having problems with going from 3G to EDGE for no reason then it’s not you…it’s HTC.

Call Crackle

This doesn’t happen with every call, but on some calls the speaker “crackles” on certain syllables with certain people. If you have heard this then you know what I mean; if not then your OK to think I’m crazy.

Advanced Launcher Force Close

This has only happened to me ONCE since I have owned my N1 and it was from exiting out of clock (which by the way I despise that it goes to the screen screen saver).

Even with these small problems, it’s still the best device I’ve ever owned. Hey, I’m just glad I can go all day without moving the charger to a different room in the house.

*Edit* – I fixed the app names by rebooting.

You can get a replacement if you escalate thru customer service. My replacement has the pink spot too, though so I’m geting a third. Nice quality control lol. But yeah, love the devise. And the bright light photos are great imo.

Hi Ally! You know I thought about that but it’s also my business phone and to be without a phone would bite! Do they send you the replacement first?
